I was never normal. Part of it is mental illness. There was a lot of darkness from an early age that became a form of trauma in itself because i suffered nightmares for every dream. I can count on one hand the happy/positive dreams I've had. I'll be 40 this summer. It never got addressed and sometimes i forget that it can also be a blessing. The parts of me that create and imagine needed to be broken and rebuilt by my own hand. Its never too late to imagine your creativity and create your imagination. Sometimes it's the only way to get there.

I was frustrated with the scene of Steven ordering a steak. The writers clearly viewed veganism as a diet, so him ordering a steak was supposed to be like someone on a low-calorie diet ordering a cake. But it isn't a diet, it's an ethical philosophy. To us, ordering a steak isn't much different than if he'd gone home, scooped his pet fish out of the water, and stomped on it. That's not something you do because you're sad, that'd be a sign that you've lost your damn mind. It's just disappointing to see something I care about show up for the first time in the MCU, but then have it be poorly represented with common misunderstandings.

Hey, Imon! Jedi do not abduct children. The purpose of identifying Force-sensitives early is to prevent an Anakin scenario. A rogue Force-user who isn't in control of their temperament or trained in how to use their power is like an ambulatory nuke particularly if they have worldly attachments they fear losing! The Jedi do exactly what Xavier does in X-Men! There are many Force-using cultures. The Jedi don't interfere without parental consent. If the Force-using culture is using their abilities to do harm to others, then the Jedi would step in. Headland doesn't understand this. Headland is not providing context about this witch sect or why they were exiled. Headland did not explain the Jedi presence and had Carrie-Anne Moss contradict herself several times regarding policy. Headland didn't explain why Osha thought well of the Jedi if her coven does nothing but speak ill of them. Since Headland is using "Rashomon" as a template, this incident on Brendok is probably going to be shown from multiple perspectives. The bit about the immaculate conception is the most troubling aspect of the episode as well as its most intriguing. Coril had misgivings about the manner in which the twins were conceived even though she served as a surrogate. I would like to know how they pulled off a trick neither Darth Plagueis nor Darth Sidious were able to do! Headland is not only undermining Anakin's unique status but the Mortis Arc of "Clone Wars" as well! The franchise isn't destroyed as we were led to believe by early critiques but this episode certainly muddied the waters to stir the pot.

For me, this episode was unexpectedly great. So many powerful lines of dialog between our crew. Katoa is going down that unfortunate path. Mei may have been traumatized by seeing what he did, but I worry that she is in immediate and existential danger just by being in Strickland's care. Cara Gee, the acress who plays Drummer is Ojibwe, of Native America ancestry. I wonder what she was thinking as her character was surrounded by those images of Mormon settlers colonizing the Old West. Nice reaction, I see you picking up on so many of the subtleties that the writers throw at us. The next few episodes are more awesome than normal even for this show, can't wait to see you watch them!

I agree with what you said. It is a good comparison of "Star Wars" and "X-Men". Xavier gave the children a choice of finding out what their abilities are. And how to manage them. I always thought it was weird for a group to take children. No matter how to try to spin it, the children were going to be taken from their parents no matter what. Choice. Whether the children use the force. Should it be up to just the Jedi? No! Imagine being a child, taken from your family, and told you no attachments! So how are the Jedi supposed to be good? They have a clinical approach to solving a problem. After watching all the "Star Wars" content, Ahsoka and a few others are the only ones who understand why the people lost faith. Question. What would have happened if the Jedi didn't come to their planet? Question. What if the people you believe in were not as good as you thought they were?

Easily one of the most sophisticated sci-fi shows ever dealing with relevant socioeconomic, political, and cultural issues complexly without stereotyping or in your face good versus evil or messianic tropes. Very relatable and strong female characters, respectful incorporation of religion and faith, the use of physics and space in highly intelligent and a realistic manner, and the list goes on. If not one of the best shows ever regardless of the genre, then certainly worthy of more accolades and viewership than it has claimed so far. Glad to see another reactor! You’re doing a great job. 👏

There's nothing wrong with you, i thought the whole situation between the jedi and the Brendok witches was just so weird. Like when the jedi first arrives, they go "oh we didn't know this planet had any inhabitants", then why the hell are they even here to look for children to abduct? Out of all the planets within the Republic, why fly all the way out here in the middle of nowhere to find force sensitive users amongst a group of people who are about to go extinct. In the High Republic era, I would think the jedi would be in full force and not really in need of children to train, it just makes no sense that they are so desperate to take these children.

based on what i interpreted i think theres more about the line "its about power and whos allowed to use it". the Mother doesnt just mean the Jedi has the unjustified power to take whatever force sensitive child away, i think theres a deeper layer about this which is implied in an eariler scene when the Mother explains their perspective of the force. the witches are denying the jedi way of mastering the force and using it by their will, they think the force should just be left alone otherwise the force user would be hooked up into the force and no longer have the control over ones destiny, and they clearly despise jedi of their way with the force

This episode is clearly Osha's point of view which explains why she doesn't see the Jedi as a bad guy. But in Mae's point of view things might be different especially with how Torbin willingly ended his life to atone for what happened. I'm pretty sure the Jedis are the one who killed the witches

Leslye Headland said she took inspiration from Roshomon which I’ve never watched but I know it’s a movie that’s known for showing different perspectives. I believe we will have an entirely separate episode to show Mae and the witches’ perspectives instead of Osha’s and the lie the Jedi created. This episode only has one title to represent Osha’s singular perspective and the lack of Mae’s perspective that we’ve gotten in the previous episodes. I think Mae wasn’t in her right state of mind when she lit the fire, she may have been controlled or it could have been an illusion entirely. We know they did something terrible, Torbin would rather take his own life than admit what they did to the council. Notice how the witches are untouched by the fire, yet they’re all dead and Sol doesn’t want Osha to get too close to the bodies.. I’m betting they were cut down by lightsabers which explains the screams. I have the most suspicions around Mother Koril and Master Indara, I feel like one of them provoked a fight and Master Indara ordered for them to be killed. I also feel like Mother Koril could’ve forced Mae to light that fire or she created an illusion, but we will see.

I do NOT trust the Jedi. They are a religious cult taking children at a young age to be indoctrinated into their religion.

Geez... you're worrying about the "consent" of fictional characters. How about kids getting consent from their parents for watching blatant propaganda?
